Emporium Gilded Transfer

Introducing the Emporium Gilded Transfer—a sophisticated celebration of historical archive prints wrapped in one gorgeous collection. Emporium features a mix of lavish 19th-century patterns archived from vintage ledger pages, wallpaper motifs, and newspaper clippings.

Use individual elements of Emporium on smalls, or apply the whole sheet as an all-over pattern. Imagine these layered motifs gracing the interior of bureau drawers or adding a touch of shimmery goodness to a thrifted glass jar. Emporium would be equally stunning on small furniture—think nightstands or side tables—or even lining the interior of a moody matte black armoire for a dramatic, grandeur appearance.

Try mixing the typography sheets from Emporium with the florals from Saint Germain or other IOD floral transfers. Or lean into that vintage European feel by pairing it with the Heraldry Mould—those ornate crests and flourishes will play beautifully with these delicate vintage prints.

Why You’ll Love It

The coordinated archive prints, foil transfer, frames, gilded transfer, gold foil, and iod foil transfer can be used whole, cut apart, layered, or divided across multiple projects for furniture, small décor, signs, journals, and mixed-media work.

More Info

EMPORIUM IOD FOIL TRANSFER 12X16 PAD™ is a pressure-sensitive gilded foil transfer by Iron Orchid Designs. The metallic artwork releases from its carrier sheet through firm burnishing onto a properly prepared surface.

Size

12 × 16 inches transfer pad.

How to Use

Start with a clean, dry, fully cured surface. For best adhesion and foil clarity, seal painted or porous surfaces with a water-based satin or semi-gloss sealer and allow it to dry thoroughly. Keep the transfer on its backing until placement is confirmed. Cut out the desired element if needed, remove the backing, secure with low-tack tape, and burnish with the included tool. Lift the carrier slowly; if any detail remains, lower it and burnish that area again.

How to Care For

Keep unused sheets on their backing, clean and flat, away from humidity and extreme temperatures. Once applied, protect the design with two coats of a compatible water-based topcoat. Avoid matte sealers when you want to preserve the brightest foil sheen, and avoid harsh solvent-based finishes.
