Flora Greca Transfer
The Flora Greca – 8-Page 8x12" Transfer Pad takes its name from a ten-volume botanical masterpiece published between 1806 and 1840, often described as one of the most beautiful and ambitious works of its kind. We’ve incorporated several of the ornate frames from this historic collection, pairing them with artwork inspired by the detailed floral studies of Jane Landon, who was renowned for her precision and expressive botanical renderings. Together, these elements create a foundation that feels both sophisticated and true to its classical origins.
To complement the florals, we added a selection of exotic birds, delicate wildflowers, fruit, and bumblebees—elements Sally loved for their elegant, slightly elevated feel and the way they distinguish this transfer from more traditional botanical sets. The result is a collection that feels unique, graceful, and quietly luxurious, with plenty of room for creative interpretation.
How to Apply a Transfer
INSTRUCTIONS
- Carefully select and cut out your transfer pieces, being careful to keep the protective backing material with the transfer.
- Hovering over the surface, position the transfer piece where you want to apply it.
- Put the transfer in place and use tape to secure the corners.
- Using the provided tool, start in one corner of the design and begin rubbing with firm, even pressure to adhere the transfer to the surface. Continue across the design until it is all adhered. If a small amount has not transferred when you peel the sheet up, simply lay the sheet back down and apply more rubbing to that area.
- Remove the sheet and smooth down any loose areas with your clean, dry hand. Burnish firmly with a clean soft cloth to ensure maximum adhesion. You can leave as is or gently distress with fine sandpaper.
- Protect the transfer with a surface appropriate sealer that does not contain strong solvents.

Flora Greca 8x12 Pad™ is a pressure-sensitive rub-on décor transfer by Iron Orchid Designs. The printed artwork releases from its carrier sheet through firm burnishing onto a properly prepared surface.

How to Use
Start with a clean, dry, matte, fully cured surface with no sanding dust. For best adhesion, seal painted or porous surfaces with a quality water-based matte polyurethane and allow it to dry thoroughly. Keep the transfer on its backing until placement is confirmed. Cut out the desired element if needed, remove the backing, secure with low-tack tape, and burnish firmly with the included tool. Lift the carrier slowly; if any detail remains, lower it and burnish that area again.
How to Care For
Keep unused sheets on their backing, clean and flat, away from humidity and extreme temperatures. Once applied, smooth every edge with a clean, dry hand and protect the finished project with a compatible water-based sealer or a chalk-paint wax that contains no harsh solvents.
