How to use:
Yes, we know that the name says it’s for wood. While The lovely family that makes ColeCrafted intentionally made this to be used as food-safe cutting board wax, here, at The Stilwell House we’ve used these wood rubs on our cutting boards, on painted furniture, final finish over chalk paint, natural wood and on painted leather, and our wood earrings!
We’ve also used Cole Crafted Wood rub to finish even tiny little wooden ornaments made from raw wood and worked ColeCrafted Wood rub into live-edge wood to liven and enhance its overall feel and texture.
The biggest difference between the two formulas is their texture. One is for finishing projects, and the other is a softer, and penetrates more deeply Both go on like a dream!
About the Formulas
#1 formula is thicker, fills in cracks, and is fast drying.
#2 formula is softer and has deeper penetration in the woods.
For best results, first apply #2, soak for 24hrs then apply #1 as finishing coat.
