Annie Sloan Polished Plaster is a water-based decorative paste for creating a softly textured, marble-like plaster effect on walls and furniture—without the traditional multi-step plaster process.
Use it on its own for a natural finish, or tint it with Chalk Paint® to bring color into the texture. Stronger Chalk Paint® colors work especially well because you can use less paint and preserve the plaster’s working consistency.
How to use it
- Stir well and test the product—and any color mixture—before beginning.
- Make sure the surface is clean and dry.
- Apply with a scraper, palette knife, or trowel, spreading the paste in different directions.
- Let the first layer dry slightly, then level and smooth it with the clean edge of your tool.
- Once dry, apply a second coat in the same way.
- For more sheen, buff the fully dried surface with a clean scraper.
Seal the finished surface with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® Wax or Chalk Paint® Lacquer.
Clean tools with warm, soapy water immediately after use. Maintain the finish with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Keep out of reach of children.
