About the Design
The Multnomah Falls design depicts Oregon’s landmark two-tiered waterfall descending through the steep, forested cliffs of the Columbia River Gorge. Benson Bridge spans the narrow divide between the upper and lower falls, surrounded by evergreen trees, mossy green rock walls, and a blue pool at the base. The tall vertical composition follows the full drop of the waterfall from the upper cliff to the water below.
