Control the amount of water with your distance, the speed of each pass, and the number of times you mist. Work farther away for a wider, lighter veil or move closer when you want the spray focused on a smaller area.
For furniture and decorative painting: Extend the open time of water-based paint so you have more time to move, blend, and soften your finish. Mist lightly between passes and build the water gradually until the paint moves the way you want it to.
For decoupage: Lightly and evenly mist tissue and other papers designed for wet application. Give the water a moment to relax the fibers, then position and smooth the paper onto your prepared surface. Apply Kozo paper dry according to the instructions included with your paper.
For art and studio work: Lightly dampen watercolor paper before adding a wash, soften edges while watercolor or water-based ink is still moving, keep a wet palette workable, add water gradually during paint-inlay application and release, or keep air-dry clay soft while you work.
