A ChicaTiza blank is an unfinished wooden silhouette created just for you! It is meant to become part of your artwork. You begin with a shape that already brings character, movement, and possibility to your finished piece!
Each wood craft blank starts as an original ChicaTiza design and is precision laser-cut in our Corbett, Oregon, studio. Your wooden piece arrives unfinished and unsealed, giving you the freedom to transform it into artwork that belongs in your home, celebrates a season, marks a meaningful occasion, or becomes a gift made especially for someone you love.

Why You’ll Love It
We choose Maple and Birch plywood because the wood has the substance a finished piece deserves. It accepts paint and stain beautifully, allows the natural grain to remain part of the artwork when desired, and is less likely to splinter than mass lightweight balsa or basswood.
Each size is thoughtfully created with different projects in mind:
The small size—at about 5 inches × 1/8-inch thickness—is perfect for stringing together into garlands, enhancing wreaths, adding a tiered-tray accent, decorating a gift, or making an ornament! It’s also perfectly sized for smaller hands with supervision!
The medium size, our most popular size, is perfect for entryway décor, seasonal displays, and small signs. It gives you room to create a whimsical, bold, or quiet statement that fits into a decorative arrangement. It is cut from generous Maple or Birch ply approximately 1/4 inch thick.
Our largest size—18 inches—can be used as a door hanger, wall décor, or statement artwork. The generous surface gives you room for detailed painted compositions, larger patterns, lettering, and dimensional embellishments without crowding your design. It’s a great choice when you want the finished piece to be the focal point of your display. It is cut from a 1/4-inch Birch ply.
What’s more, ChicaTiza craft blanks are standalone pieces! You get to select your own medium, your own tools, and just art!
How to Use
Create with acrylic paint, craft paint, stain, decoupage paper, transfers, stencils, lettering, wood burning, or dimensional embellishments such as moulds.
How to Care For
Keep the unfinished blank clean and dry until you are ready to create.
Protect completed artwork with a finish appropriate for the materials used and its intended display location.
For display in a covered outdoor area, apply an outdoor-rated sealer to the front, back, and every edge. Keep the finished piece protected from direct rain, snow, prolonged moisture, and extreme weather to help prevent warping or fading.
About the Design
This ChicaTiza ghost has a rounded head, two oval eye cutouts, and a broad body that flares outward at both sides. The lower edge rises and falls in soft waves, giving the silhouette the flowing shape of a floating sheet.

Size is measured along the longest dimension. Because wood is a natural material, variations in grain and tone are expected and make every blank unique.

Laser cutting creates a clean, precise silhouette and leaves the edges darker. A slight char scent may be present after cutting and typically fades over time.
